Morning Hygge – Dairy-free Coffee

I’m starting my morning with a hygge moment. I added some Penzys Hot Chocolate to my coffee this morning.

One of my goals for 2018 was to start drinking coffee black. I accomplished this pretty early in the year and it wasn’t too hard for me. I still get a nondairy latte sometimes when I go out for coffee, but at home I always have black coffee.

Hygge moment for this evening.

I’ve been trying to add a moment of hygge to my day this holiday season. I’m trying to slow down and enjoy the holidays instead of just spin from one thing to the next.

Tonight I have my favorite Cardamom tea in my favorite winter mug. I have a small loaf of orange honey bread to munch on while listening to a Spotify playlist made by a friend.

I am still trying to find my vision word for 2019. My 2018 word was Blossom and I have been reflecting on some of the things on this years vision board.

I had pictures of breakfast food since I wanted to cook special breakfasts for my kids more often. I did make breakfast more this year and would like to do even more breakfasts in 2019.

What would you put on a vision board?

Thursday’s productive outing.

Today I am attending a short webinar. I decided to go to the library and listen/view and then finish the electronic items on my to do list.

It’s always nice to bring a snack and something to keep you hydrated. Today the last of the Madeleines and some Roasted Dandelion Root tea are my treats.

The other things on the table are

  1. Notebook and pen for taking notes
  2. Passion planner
  3. Magazines from the exchange to look for Vision Board material
  4. Laptop and headphones
  5. Snack and hydration
  6. Beautiful snowy scene outside
  • After getting my electric to do’s done I will do my next week planning in my planner and spend some time looking for some Vision Board inspiration in the magazines from the magazine exchange.
  • Happy Thursday!
  • Holiday Baking

I’m spending today looking through my Christmas and Winter boards on Pinterest and planing my holiday baking.

I still haven’t perfected rolled out sugar cookies. Plus I love to bake but decorating the cookies is not my strong suit.  I saw some beautiful Linzer Cookies the other day and hope to make some of those too. I have a friend who makes holiday candy that looks safe for us to eat so that will make it on the list this year.  And don’t forget the Hot Chocolate! I plan on trying some fancy versions this holiday season.

I will be making Chewy Chocolate Meringue Cookies while I ponder what else to make this holiday season. Happy baking everyone.

    Cinnamon rolls - 2018 goals

    2018 Goals – Breakfast

One of my 2018 goals is to make more special breakfasts for my family.  Another is to perfect a cinnamon roll recipe.  Today I accomplished both.

I made cinnamon rolls for breakfast on our day off of school.  It still isn’t a finalized recipe, but they tasted good.

I also went for a 5 mile walk/run because “run a 10K” is also on my 2018 goal list.

What goals are you working toward today?

    Willpower

I will not eat the last Madeleines… I will not eat the last Madeleines… I will not eat the last Madeleines…

I made a double batch of Madeleines they barely lasted 24 hours.

Tomorrow I’m making chocolate chip cookies!

And hopefully ding song ditching some zucchini!

    2018 Goals

I’ve always been a goal and list person.  Part of my business goals for this year is to finish some certificate work.  Today I’m back at the library working on my NAPO Workplace Productivity Certificate courses.

My life works better with my Passion Planner, a small notebook (I remember things better when I write them down), and a pencil bag full of colored pens.  A snack and drink help too.

I try to break up my time and change where I am listening/watching the coarse.  Also being in an area where I can stand up often helps me stay focused.

My break is up.  Back to being productive!
